Travel Tips & Advice

Day 0: Meet in McCarthy for trip orientation, gear fitting, and welcome dinner.

Day 1: Shuttle to Chitina, float through woods canyon and embark on one of the most spectacular scenic river trips in North America.

Day 2–6: Navigate glacial waters, camp on remote beaches, watch Childs Glacier calve, and enjoy gourmet meals fireside.

Day 7: Final float into Copper River Delta and Cordova.

Day 8: Hop the Alaska Marine Highway to Anchorage, catch a 737 flight or take an optional scenic bush plane flight back to McCarthy.
